Is this legal shops to print full 16 digits on the receipts?

    If I use contactless and ask for a receipt many will just press reprint, a one key option, as opposed to the several keys needed to get a customer copy. A bit of a failing in the system really.

    I am looking at a receipt I received last night for a contactless payment. Only one button was pressed by the barperson and the long number is **** **** **** 1234.

    Yeah but most card machines will print *** even for the merchant copy for contactless.

    Not scam, but stupidity here. Talking about online criminals and lose 100 million/billion money in a year. If they can't change simple thing how are they going to stop online criminals? I hope you will get some awareness rather speak something else.

    It's really scary to see the all the digits on the receipts with expiry date. This can be misused by someone easily by just remember few 3 digit back of the card. Why can't card companies make it safer.
