Can't sell house because neighbour started claim

We formulated a plan with the buyers and the Estate Agent to rent the house to them. All rent to come off the sale price when it's been cleared up.
Surely this will cost more than the claim, however much it may be!0 -
there is no claim. you have written proof that his claim was investigated and proved false. he can put in as many attempts to claim as he wants, he won't get anywhere.
i would send him and his insurance company (who are insane for even entertaining this when a local authority has proved him false) a copy of the letter from the council and be done with it.
and lying to the police is an offense. might want to remind him of his son's previous actions and suggest you will pursue your own legal action.CCCC #33: £42/£240

I presume that if your garage wasn't there, the same rain would instead be landing directly on the side of his garage ; without having a stopover on your garage roof.He was claiming water was blowing off our garage roof onto the side of his garage causing flooding.
If the garages are only 300mm apart, your garage is taking the brunt of the wind-blown rain.
The tricky aspect, is that it may be hard to sell a house with a defective neighbour. I'm not sure where on the offer for sale that should go.0 -
