Notice of Correction

Hello! I have been accessing my credit report for last 6 months or so via checkmyfile.com, and I have a Notice of Correction that I put on my report in 2013 explaining two defaults that happened on my account when I was made redundant. Luckily I've managed to improve my credit rating and it's back to a reasonable state. However checkmyfile have now recommended that I remove my notice of correction because it was from a while ago and because it apparently prevents some credit checks from being completed automatically because it's on there - and could potentially negatively affect my credit rating now it's decent again.
Does anyone know if this advice seems reasonable and think I should remove it? Or leave it on there? So confused!
Thanks in advance

That's good advice.
a NOC basically auto-refers any credit application to be checked manually, and some to be rejected entirely.
With few exceptions these notices don't really help.

NoCs are rarely worth it. Remove it.
Lenders won't take any notice of your credit rating, only the data on your file.0
