Please can someone advise me what to do.
After a long one year battle, where I managed to get a CCJ set aside, the claim is finally going to be heard at the Small Claims Court. Having completed a witness statement the claimant has now filed theirs with all the necessary information I needed to either deny or accept the claim.
It has become apparent that this is a very old debt which I will need to pay.
The court case is within the next couple of weeks.
My question: How at this late stage after witness statements do I proceed?
I am willing to make a lump sum payment which is for just under 30% of the debt, or monthly payments.
I have mental health issues and am finding this difficult to manage alone. Please is someone able to advice me of how to retract my defence? Or/and how to make an offer of payment without going to court, so that I may be able to stop a CCJ?
Thank you for any help.

Probably one for the Debt Free Wannabe board.

Or ... take a look at the NEWBIES FAQ (post #2) in the Parking Tickets board ... it's specifically about court claims for parking tickets, but the process in small claims is the same regardless so the What You Do When will be the same.
