Ticketed for "leaving site" which I never did and have the proof

I absolutely agree. I cannot understand why Quentin, (and others), are so fixated about not revealing the driver, especially in "own space" and "double dip" cases. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Sorry, I read the first two replies and thought I had to follow the standard procedure so didn't know this thread had continued after that.
@molerat Yes they use the same car park.
@DoaM It was indeed a windscreen ticket and no I did not go off site for any time at all. Parked, went straight into the gym and then left gym straight to car.
So there seems to be a debate about this now. Can anyone advise me what to do if I go down the route of truth. Just write an honest letter? Any timing issues (i.e. email after a certain number of days)? It's already been 14 days. Any legal stuff I need to include/exclude?
Also do @ mentions even work on this forum?0 -

Did I do something wrong?0

No nothing wrong we can be quite cryptic with replies once we think the way forward is already clear in an earlier post (#6). Jonersh told you exactly what to do, so crack on.Also do @ mentions even work on this forum?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ah, it makes sense now. I thought "post 6" was a reference to the fact that I had only posted ~6 times on this forum. Thanks for clarifying!
I read about Arkell vs Pressdram. I understand what he's getting at now
Thanks everyone.0 -
Just wanted to give an update on this in case it's helpful to anyone.
I appealed the PCN as the driver, letting them know that I never left the site, providing screenshots from the gym's entry/exit system to show that I was there when the PCN was issued.
Just received a reply saying that the PCN has been cancelled.
Thanks to everyone for your help0 -
In a case like this, playing the "not naming the driver" card smacks of obfuscation, especially if it went to POPLA or court.
Best just to be honest and upfront from the start in a cast iron case where they have no cause to pursue the parking charge.0
