Electrical or wiring fault? (Honda Civic)
Options
Need help about an issue with my 06 plate Civic
All was fine heading to work this morning and I drove over a bump. All of a sudden the radio went off, the panel on the dashboard that displays the time, what radio station you are listening to and the temperature inside the car went off and I have also noticed you can't unlock the car door with the fob only the key and I also can't open the boot of the car unless the key is in the ignition.
Is this likely to be a fuse(es) issue, wiring or could it be something else. Its strange all of this happening after one smallish bump in the road!!
Any help or advice greatfully recieved

Would that affect the door fob not working and the boot to? Just seems weird it all happened at once. Also is it an easy fix as I am not mechanically minded!!0

Not sure if it's even the same model but a google of "civic dash and central locking fault" shows a few similar problems and it seems to be Fuse 16 under the bonnet that blows and causes the problem you have.
Like I said may not be the same model but there is a you tube video showing the fault and fuse box you need to check HERE0 -
I have been searching for a video. I have spent the last hour watching videos and realising I was looking at the obd2 videos!!! I'll have a look and thanks so much (if it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)0

Just looked and yes fuse 16 is knackered. Mentioned that something must be jammed in the radio and have just been told my 3yr old put a coin in the cd bit so now need to work out how to get that out as its all built into the dash or just keep a glove compartment full of fuses!!0

Thanks for the update glad it was an easy and cheap fix. Guess the bump made the coin move and short something out. Kids have evolved it was toast in the video when mine were younger!0

Yeah thanks for finding that video. Was very helpful. Will get some fuses and replace it after work tomorrow. Its a long journey without music!!!!0

Yeah I know but the radio is built in and stripping that out is wayyyyyy above my capabilities!!! I had a look in the hope tweezers might get it but to far down0
