Wrong colour doors delivered but I need them

Hi good people.
I ordered front door for my new porch that is being built. It took 4 weeks for the shop to deliver and they delivered the wrong colour. They admited it was their fault. I don't fancy the colour but need the doors. It would take another 2 weeks at least for the new doors to arrive which we are not willing to wait for. What are our rights?

They offered that they take the doors delivered and order new ones for us that will be delivered in 2 weeks which I don't believe as it took 4 weeks from order to delivery with these ones.

Well your property is obviously secure now so if you were to cancel who else can provide a door in less than two weeks?

No one can. We are going on 3 weeks holidays in a weeks time the builders want to finish everything in a week. They suggest just take the bloody door.

You ask what your rights are.

You have the right to receive the doors you ordered.

You have the right to demand they be delivered tomorrow.
The seller however, cannot do the impossible.

You may have the right to cancel the order and seek a supplier elsewhere.

You have the right to paint your doors in any colour you wish.

I don't think there is any consumer right that will get you the doors any quicker.

I would have thought so, provided you return the unwanted doors.

Or are you hoping to get the doors for nothing?

Just be careful not to cut off your nose to spite your face if you send the doors back and take a refund. Can you get another supplier to provide the doors within the next week?
