Admiral charging for red light fine

My insurance is with Admiral, I did not declare last September on the renewal that I got a red light fine but i went to a awareness course so assumed i don't need to declare it. But Admiral has found out and want to charge me £320 for that, what can i do now?
the cost of a year insurance was £450 how can they charge so much for that?

Don't admiral ask about course attending,?
If so you chose to risk it by not disclosing your course.
Red light jumping can mean very expensive claims!
At renewal maybe look for an insurer that doesn't enquire about courses0 -
Your renewal notice / policy booklet clearly states that driver awareness courses must be reported and they can charge whatever they feel is the correct premium. The alternative is that they void your policy for failing to inform which is a whole bigger can of worms.

Took me about 10 seconds to find it and I am not insured with Admiral !just checked the booklet no mention of driver awareness courses

One issue is that the lecturers at these courses seem to think they are experts in motor insurance as well as teaching you why you should stop at red and advise their miscreants they don't need to disclose their attendance at all to insurers0

From my own course they told us that Admiral, and its sub-companies (Elephant etc.), do you over for the speed awareness courses. 2 year old info so maybe others are playing at it now but looks like it saved me a big headache as I was with Admiral so avoided them at renewal as a result.

I attended a speed awareness course and quite literally the last thing they said as we were about to finish was "Don't tell your insurer and if they ask, tell them it's none of their business".
