What is the problem?
Can the laptops "see" the wireless network and can you enter the key to connect to it?We all evolve - get on with it0 -
What did you do when you set the laptops up again?
If the laptops were happily working away over the unsecured network then it must (you would think) with how you've set up the encryption. Can you detail what you did when you set this up?
Did you set the modem/router up with one of the laptops or is there a PC in the loop somewhere? Do they all run XP or is there a mix of operating systems?
Good luck,
Steve (from Hull)0 -
In the ordinary course of events your laptop would be able to see the network (perhaps several if you live in a built up area) and you would simply have to give your laptop the key/password to the network to get it all working. I am assuming you are using the Windows network set up. I had trouble when trying to use the plug in netgear wireless card because it wanted to use the netgear setup as the default. The problem was solved when I made the Windows setup the default.0

Until you give more detailed information regarding your equipment and exactly what you have done, it is difficult to help. e.g. "i spent 4 hours yesterday with karoo and netgear" is irrelevant to us! What have you actually done? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
