derbyshire/nationwide claim

I have proof of PPI payments which were part of my monthly mortgage premiums with my initial mortgage provider..the Derbyshire, who were then taken over by the nationwide. I've contacted nationwide but they say they have no record of my previous Derbyshire mortgage account? surely this cannot be, as I currently have a nationwide mortgage which transferred over with my Derbyshire mortgage account?
I have statements showing PPI going back quite a few years. what should I do?..any help would be greatly appreciated?..kind regs

So what is your complaint? Mortgage PPI is quite normal and still retailed today, what are you trying to achieve?

If you can show that it didn't meet your needs ( e.g. exclusions weren't pointed out at the time ), that may be grounds for complaint.

Obviously the same as anyone, claiming against a smaller amount bank loan to giver a car purchase , Or a loan to buy a house?
    Surely it's the same?

I was in the same position . complained about a DBS Mortgage PPI and Nationwide said they had no record.

I got back in touch with Nationwide and explained I had evidence of PPI and gave them account numbers etc. Nationwide then changed their mind and accepted that I had PPI after all

I would give them a call and explain that you have proof. Be prepared for a battle though. Nationwide initially rejected my complaint but was subsequently upheld by FOS

You seem to be under the impression that it's simply a refund of your PPI and all you have to do is apply for it.

You need to have a valid reason why it was mis-sold to you. Why do you think you were mis-sold?
