How to remove old tile adhesive

I need help with removing the adhesive that is put in between tiles. The adhesive is mostly on the edges of the tiles, but I had forgotten to clean it and now it's a pain to clean. It works with a sharp tool, but it takes way too long. I was wondering if there was an alternative method, some chemical component or something alike. I know I can find results on Google, but I would rather ask -- just to be sure. Thanks.

Just be careful how old it is, if it's black mastic there's a chance it might have asbestos in it so you wouldn't want to break it up.0

Do you mean grout? Have you done the grouting recently?
If it's just a grout film over the tile then the green plastic scourer pads are about as hard as you can go without risking the tile. If the grout might not be completely set, a warm water and sugar solution will help retard the setting.
To get grout out of groutlines between tiles you can use an oscillating multi-tool.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
