Beware that anyone can set up a VPN "company", including governments...

How secure against snooping any of them are is anyone's guess.

Some work quite well to fool TV and radio content restrictions, allowing you to watch/listen to your home stations while on holiday. Quite why the "Radio Player" app blocks the BBC is bizarre... just checked, Radio 2 doesn't work while in "Madrid", but works in "London", yet Gold works anywhere!

That's basically all I want it for. I cannot watch BBC iPlayer or listen to catch up BBC radio in Spain but I can listen to and download talksport for instance. It does seem crazy. Maybe they should just allow you to enter your TV licence number to allow access abroad. Even skygo can now be used in Europe.

I use CyberGhost and it currently works for the BBC iPlayer (TV), and the "Radioplayer" app (generic radio player). However, and here's the problem, it currently doesn't work on the ITV Hub. Also, the TVPlayer app (generic one) requires access to your GPS to determine your location and so won't work outside the UK.

It's all hit and miss, I have previously watched ITV catchup in Spain, but it doesn't work today :mad:

in Spain at present most of the gambling sites will not work unless thru a VPN.(something to do about betting on line in Spain)

I found that NordVPn was the most reliable, but its not free

I get a far better throughput than my paid for windscribe vpn. Took about 15 mins to work my way around it though in an environment that blocks sites.

If you are worried about privacy and logging, do not use these either: ipvanish, or hide myass.

Try Ultrasurf. Easy To use and best. But, it is slower than other VPN softwares.
