Nuisance calls

Several times a day, I get calls about 'upgrade to new boiler free' .....all times of day
Number with held so can't block
Message states press X to opt out or X to learn more.

I've pressed X to opt out numerous times. Tried X to talk to someone and say stop calling. Then it says, you'll recieve call to discuss. This doesn't happen either

I'm unsure what to do to stop these, any ideas?

Yes. Get a BT 8500/8600 TrueCall phone.

This will challenge any caller and they have to state their business before you can then decide whether to accept or reject the call.

You can programme in the numbers of all the people that you want to get straight through without being challenged and add any others later.

You will need Caller Identity on your line, but this can be free with some providers.

I've had my system for two years now and not one of these type of nuisance calls has got through.

Sorry, I should have said that this is my business line. So your suggestion although good wouldn't be viable
