Halifax Overdraft - Hard or soft search?

I want to request an increase to my Halifax Overdraft though the app.

Anyone know if this will be a hard or soft search? I phoned Halifax but can't seem to get a answer.

Thanks

I applied via the app and was approved, they then sent a confirmation email, does it mean they haven't pulled a hard search for the limit increase?

We may decline your application on the basis of searches we carry out with credit reference agencies. You have the right to be informed immediately and free of charge if that is the case and to know which agency we have used.

This information is valid on the day it is produced only. By proceeding with this application you are requesting the overdraft to be added to your account immediately. If you are a joint account holder, this means that the other account holders will not receive this information but they will receive the Planned Overdraft agreement after the Planned Overdraft has been provided. If all account holders would like to receive this information before you proceed, the other account holders will need to come with you to a branch to apply for the Planned Overdraft.

We are providing this information because we have changed the credit limit of your existing Planned Overdraft agreement to the amount set out above, the rest of this document repeats information we have previously given you about your overdraft. We thought it would be useful for you to have this information in a single document. Please ignore references to the application, which were only relevant when you first applied for the overdraft.[/]

From my experience if you already have the overdraft then no search or if new then hard search. Same goes for credit card application.

Says online in the banking app...no search is done.

Must go on how you conduct your account.
