I just received an email from Cond! Nast Johansens informing me that I have won:
a three-night stay for two people at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Indonesia.
Three-night stay for two people in a Luxury Room with daily breakfast
Dinner for two people on one evening
A spa treatment for two people
As there is no travel included I probably won't use this...that's the worst kind of competition win!!!!!

Erm, stating the obvious, but why did you enter lol...
Hopefully they can re-draw it and offer it to someone else.

GL with the next one...2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
T&Cs said travel is not included, something that is probably more common on long haul short breaks like this than it is on longer holidays although it can happen with those as well - "travel is not included" was added to the MSE post within about 90 mins of the competition being posted.Terms & Conditions: Prize is valid for two people. It is subject to availability and must be pre-booked 60 days in advance. Prize is non-transferrable or refundable. All other expenses will be charged at the normal rate. One winner must be 18 or over. Travel is not included. Other terms and conditions may apply.0

Happened to me in early days of comping, except mine was a runner up prize of a week's self catering accommodation in Portugal. We just couldn't afford the flights and a week eating out! You could ask them to redraw, you never know, they may find you a runner up prize tucked in the back of their prize drawer!I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. Oh my god that is an amazing holiday. I don't know your financial situation obviously but if you can you should try to find the funds for the flight even if it means going alone. The experience will enrich your soul.
But if you know you definitely won't go then perhaps you should let them know so they can redraw another winner. Congratulations anyway. That's a lucky win. 0 -

well said.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

If you definitely won't be using it I'd contact them to let them know, they could re-draw it to see if someone else could use itA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0
