    Morning everyone,

Dry and bright here in EA, the WM is chugging away with the second load of the day and have just finished my scrambled eggs.
Yesterday's shopping trip was reasonably productive, did pick up some undies in Mr Sparks and used my voucher, I had a good look around there and other shops but nothing inspired me so my purse stayed firmly shut.
Today is chores this morning then Pilates at midday with my friend, my back is a bit sore after too much weeding at the weekend so hopefully a good stretch out will help.
Hey Jo :j hope you have a good chat with your lady and hubby feels better soon.
Get well wishes for Nannywindow and hugs for Karcher

Have a good day folks x
  • Good Morning, it's warm here but not too warm and we're overcast but that's due to clear later. He Who Knows has gone fishing and I've been right through the house and dusted and vacuumed all the floors, sorted out the washing from yesterday which dried overnight in the utility room which I will iron later on and I'm just off for a shower.

I'm walking up to the local centre to do some food shopping, we're a bit low on carrots and that kind of basic veg and I also need to take some library books back. I'm doing two dog walks today, Cookie after lunch and Maisie before supper and she'll stay with us for the evening so I'll be nicely tired tonight. I hope that's going to be enough to give me a good nights sleep, I find I don't sleep too well in the heat.

Nice to sleep in my own bed last night and be back to routine today, have a good one everyone, xxx.

    Morning

Karcher squeezy hugs matey...hope your day gets better

Tru where are you? I miss scampi updates :)

HH poor CHS maybe you could buy a very small bag of frozen chips and cook them straight away for him.
Nelski I’m glad that you managed to have a relaxing weekend. It’s good the way that you are getting your mum to use other shops, as you say baby steps. You are being so good to her and patient with her.

I'm afraid you are being too kind there Holly. When I got there yesterday she had a very silly tantrum saying she only ever wanted to go to Morrisons and she wouldn't go to Tesco  I wanted to get her some jeans but she said she is quite happy in the ones falling off her. Patient with her I was not. Its such a silly thing really but I know how important it is to make some small changes.
I am at the end of my tether with her now I know its very early days still and need to be conscious of that but I guarantee nothing will change with time either. Spoke to my brother who helpfully told me he had had a lovely phone call with her and she seemed really upbeat...useful that thanks

Anyway work day from home today so will squeeze in some washing and general tidying.

Seems I shared my bed last night which is a little bit of a surprise... anyway as a result of my sleep partner I am covered in bites this morning with a nice big one on my neck  It obviously had a good feed as I also have bites on my feet, arms, legs and hands. And thats why I prefer my bed to myself :rotfl:

Food wise I'm thinking something simple like a caesar salad and some garlic bread but its early yet so that could well change :)

Have a great day everyone :)

    Morning all,

Woke up this morning with the itention of going to the gym but I had a pounding headache. No alochol or anything last night so not sure why. And I'm the type of man who just powers through and doesn't tell anyone (typical, eh?) but I opted for an extra 2 hours in bed in the hope I'd sleep it off. Alas that wasn't the case and it's still lingering.

Should be kept going in work which will distract me. Watching the football tonight. I've got my step-dad and some of my friends coming over for it so I'll need to disappear sharp from work to give the place a once over.

Need to dive into my work now. Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Especially those of you not well and those dealing with family problems.

I am very sad this morning, Our neighbour passed away last night in the hospice, he has been ill for so long and his wife was getting so tired looking after him, visiting etc, it is a blessing but I doubt she will see it that way. She has asked to have the day to herself, so I will respect that and go and see her tomorrow.

OH had a bit of a funny turn yesterday, he said he felt he was getting palpitations again and was a bit dizzy, he did his eye exercises and the dizziness went off, he seemed ok later and despite my asking him to take it steady today, he is mowing the back grass.

We were late sleeping, it was 2am, so a late start to the day, good job we had nothing on.

I did manage to finish the cushion yesterday, not my best, but its ok I now need to trim the table mats and bind them, that should keep me going for a few days. No idea what I am going to do next.

Sausage and mash with the remains of last nights baked beans for supper tonight. I made a rhubarb and apple crumble last night, we will have some after lunch today, OH has no yogurt left.

Its a dull day with a breeze, if its anything like yesterday we will have a sunny evening, the sun broke through late yesterday aftenoon and it was quite warm.

    Afternoon all,

Youngest went for his disciplinary this morning. Thankfully he's still got a job. Apparently he is not high enough on the ladder to get away with murder yet. On the plus side he is the 9th highest earning apprentice they have in the area (which is nice).

Hubby still moaning about his job. The problem is the people who he sub contracts to hire agency guys who dont have a clue as to what they are doing so the building project they are working on is riddled with faults. Hubbys argument is they get paid the same rate as him but he has to correct their mistakes as well as do the job he was given to do in the first place. The project is weeks behind schedule and have increased the hours but arent paying overtime rate.

Ive reminded my daughter to pack my Grandsons 'stay over at Nannys' bag. She has 11 days to go till her due date and he will stay with me as long as they need me to have him. Talking about my Livewire, some child gave him a black eye at a party he went to on Sunday. Good job my daughter doesnt know what child did it. Her family nickname isnt 'Terrier' for nothing.:rotfl:

Just taken delivery of hubbys anti histamines from Australia. Our GP wont prescribe them but the hospital will so save going to the walk in every few weeks he's been buying them from Australia. This is his second year of doing it.

I am waiting for Prodigal to turn up, he'll be here soon and then i must fill in this form. I'm surprised as to how much health screening ive been offered since i reached the 'delicate' age of 50.

Csarina I am sorry to hear your news.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Csarina - sorry to read about your neighbour, he's at peace now.

My morning has been full on, however everything is resolved and working. Router - yes. Printer - yes, after going out to buy a new cable. Infinity - yes, switched on. Wifi extenders - yes. DM's TV in bedroom - yes. Gas & electric meters read, number input online and both bills paid - yes. Appointment made with chiropodist- yes.

Now I'm lying down for half an hour to read a book. :j

Didn't get half an hour! Printer needed new ink cartridge so I've been out to get one, installed it and the DM wanted some photos printed.

NOW I am sitting down and hope to remain so.

She's right, I'll miss her when she's gone. :rotfl:

Quite frankly i am annoyed by Prodigals attitude to the help he has been given.

He doesnt like the people in the place where he is staying, doesnt want the help given to help him straighten himself out. He looks at it as 'someone else out there to have a 'go' at him.

Then he asked what time his Brother would be back to give him a lift back to his mates.

Mental health issues? He needs a kick up the bum.

Good afternoon everyone, thanks to Karcher for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one.

Despite a horribly sore ear infection I've had a lovely few days as my elder son & his lovely partner came home for a few days so it has been great to catch up. They are off back to Cardiff tomorrow and at a wedding today. Unfortunately the weather has been dire so I'm hoping the bride isn't bedraggled. My son's partner is Greek and we all face timed with her Dad in last night. Like me he is a keen gardener and I definitely have garden envy as the weather means no need for a greenhouse or any shelter.

I hope everyone has a good evening x
