A few times they messed up (though in quite big style in the cases mentioned). Wouldn't stop me booking with them (assuming there prices are competitive).
    Gone ... or have I?

These things can happen with any travel agent (or airline or hotel direct). I don't believe you are giving the full story however. If your flight wasn't "available" when you were abroad then it implies it was your return flight so why would the hotel be an issue ? If your return flight is cancelled or severely delayed then transporting you home and possibly accomadating you becomes the responsibility of the airline and not the agent.
Nothing to "Discuss" as insufficent data

665,000 UK passengers last year. No chance of 100% of those perfect. However, i'd guess 99.98% of passengers experience no problems!

I booked a flight through them and discovered it cheaper on the airlines website!! Also when the airline decided to strike on the day of travel I contacted Expedia who said they would quote for a new flight and I would have to pay amendment fees!! Charming! I just rang the airline and changed it for free with them. They did eventually send out an email saying I could change for free, but it was a long time coming and very close to the travel date. Na, I don't think i;ll be booking with them again.

I have used expedia before with no problems at all. I think Watchdog tend to blow things out of proportion as it makes for more interesting TV.

If you do choose to go with Expedia, make sure you book through Quidco as you get money back and considering the cost of holidays nowadays, it can add up to a fair bit.

I'm sorry, but you're really unclear. And that goes for your opening post as well. I have no idea if your talking about you, or Watchdog. I don't know what point you're making. Or if you are asking for help, or advice. Slow reading both posts several times over doesn't help either.

Maybe you should provide clarity in your comments and cut out the text speak and confusing sentences before you knock anyone else.

CHeck hundreds of complaints at EXPEDIANEWS.com . Really disturbing, the BBC watchdog showed only a tip of an iceberg.
