Dreaded CSA help

Long story short.... 3 years ago Horrible breakup with my abusive ex boyfriend. We have 3 children together. He said I wouldn't get a penny from him to help bring up the children. I'm not horrible or hard hearted as understand he needs to live too so any money would help. He had a good job earning £2000 a month. Still refused to pay a penny. I went to CSA for help, I don't have a lot of money and struggle to pay for things for them. He quit job and went to work for another company - he told CSA he is earning 0 income. I know he is working, I know the company he is working for and CSA wrote to them - they denied he is working 'for them' I believe that is a play on words as I KNOW he is working for that company and am thinking he is doing it self employed. What can I do, its not fair as the children have trips with the school I can barely afford, can't do special clubs and things.... moving schools need new school uniforms etc... (I get NO government help but a small income of £500 a month which is irrelevant anyway..)

Why do you not get benefits?

If he is self employed (which seems unlikely) then not a lot you can do until his taxes are upto date. At which point you get CMS involved and HMRC if he's not declaring correctly.
