PCN from Morrisons Car Park...:(

Afternoon all,

I've had a read through the sticky but thought i'd create a quick thread for this. Apologies if this is unnecessary.

I have received a postal 'Parking Charge Notice' from Parking Eye. The car park they mention is apparently free for 3 hours and the driver overstayed accidentally by 30 minutes. The use of Parking Eye is new to this car park as the ticket machines are still visible but are covered over.

As the driver still has 9 days to pay the 'discounted' charge of £50 i thought I'd ask for advice on here on their behalf. :)

Should I contact Morrisons themselves and try to get the charge cancelled? If so, does anyone know the email address to use so it finds its way to the correct department? Morrisons own website is very poor and doesn't have any information about parking grievances.

Thanks in advance.

Buz.

    donotreply@morrisonsplc.co.uk

    It works within a week.

Also submit the usual appeal online to ParkingEye, attaching any Morrisons' receipts from ANY days.

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

excellent , good to see somebody use some gumption and go the extra mile :)

the more complaints DAVID POTTS gets , the more he might actullay do something about it

bear in mind my local Morrissons does not have ANY car parking enforcement and ticks over nicely with no "issues" - long may it continue
  • Cheers, its ridiculous. The car park itself is huge and never comes close to being full. All other supermarkets in town (of which there are 4) dont have enforcement. Hopefully this one is short lived.

Don't forge to send the BPA template from the NEWBIES to the parking scammers as well.
