Video Camera software

Hi everyone,

I've got a new video camera. I would like to know what free software is any good for Windows 8.1. I have different clips which I would like to combine together to create one video.

Can you use Windows Media Player to edit videos simply?

    Windows built on video editor. Movie Creator, unless they have changed its name?

    Did the camera not come with its own free software also?

    Well some of the videos I'm going to be doing I want to upload to Youtube. Last night I was uploading and messing around and discovered Youtube video editor which did what I wanted it to do.

    Okay I put in a clip that I'll need to take out but I was experimenting.
