I need to replace a skoda Fabia manual wing mirror, the whole unit.
I have a replacement unit off eBay but wondered how easy it is to diy for a diy numpty, or whether just to get the garage to do it on the next service?
I'm willing to give it a go if there's instructions I can follow but have to hold my hands up to not being the most competent diyer generally speaking.
Thanks.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    ^ What he said.
If you have to lever off any bits of trim inside, (You have had to with the ones I've seen) go very gently or you risk breaking off the plastic bits that hold them on.

That's the sort of thing I'm likely to end up doing - breaking bits that shouldn't be broke.

We have just had to replace a broken wing mirror on out Fabia.

    It is an electric mirror.

It cost £150 for a new one and my local garage charged £25 to replace it.

Got the mirror off eBay for about £20 and the garage charged a few quid extra when the car was in anyway for the service. Don't recall how much but it wasn't a lot.
