Puncture at home - costs

You misunderstood my post.Wheels are not a standard hole spacing - and no neighbours have the same car as mine !!
I was suggesting you see if a neighbour will lend you a pump, not a spare wheel!
As you got a pump what's the point of your thread?
Breakdown companies don't normally do puncture repairs - you sure yours does?
Did you phone QDOS as suggested to get their price for a puncture repair? Is it cost effective to use them?0 -
QDOS have quoted me a ridiculous £50 to take my wheel to a local tyre place, get the puncture repaired(as long as it can be repaired) and refit it - that answers my question !!You misunderstood my post.

?
Hows it ridiculous?
Call out on a sunday to pay a person to go and do what you can do yourself?
Probably an easy 2-3 hrs effort for them by the time they get a van to you, take the wheel off, take it to the nearest fitters, stand and wait, brink it back, refit it and drive home again.
In the 3 hrs you've been discussing this on here, you could have had it done yourself btw.....
OR bearing in mind you'd to put air in it a whole week ago, you could have had it done at a more convenient time rather than now when you have to.0 -
Theres no Kwik-Fit or anything else like that, around here - I will have to wait until tomorrow in any case !!So get the flippin' pump out, and stop flapping... It's not going to suddenly explode and kill you in a ball of flame on the way to Kwik-Fit...
There is a "normal" garage - that sells tyres - they will have to do.0 -
Probably best to have the first aid kit and fire extinguisher to hand, then.0

Get something like this and fix it yourself:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-TYRE-PUNCTURE-REPAIR-KIT-WITH-10-STRINGS-WITH-A-FREE-INSERTING-NEEDLE-/130497125304
Only problem is the repair is illegal over here but fine in the US! They do work well though
