Club Class Holidays

I wonder if anybody can help me, recently I got myself involved through my Mother in-law in helping out an old couple in their mid 70's with PPI after some success with my own, Partners and a close friend or two. During our conversation regarding PPI the couple produced a letter and certificate referring to "Club Class Holidays" which on the 4/12/2005 charged Mr & Mrs Wilson £3,800 for holiday they never had. I'm somewhat stumped on how to tackle this and whether there is a possibility on claiming back any or part of the money. The Wilson's would have been in there 60's when they joined, even then I don't believe they new what they were getting themselves into.
Any advise would be appreciated, I cant help but feel sorry for the couple.

Google suggests that many Club Class companies were wound up in 2012, seems they were a bogus timeshare company.

So if that is true there is nothing you can do.
