Sweet tree advice

So guys I'm after a bit of advice and hoping you could help ... I picked up a sweetie tree kit from home bargains and wanted to make a sweet tree for my mum .. Problem is how so I attach the sweets to the foam tree ball ? .. Any advice would be fab !! Thanks a million Lisa x

Any suggestions on the cheapest sweets to use. I want something in wrappers as not sure about the food safety aspect of using cocktail sticks or melted chocolate on polystyrene.

Ferraro rocher ones look fantastic but would work out expensive.

What size ball do others use as the base?
