I paid my Argos card off! :j
Just my credit card to go! I'm going to make my payment for this month, it's only a small amount but way more than the minimum.0 -
I'm currently out with a work colleague who paid for my coffee, it was a last minute plan but it was free

I also need to get my money out for my envelopes. I'm going to also get my grandma's birthday present after work. I know what to buy my nephew but I need to order that online..0 -
Well done on paying your card and free coffee.
I don't have a savings pot either but I think I should have. From next month I'm gonna save £5 a month for emergencies.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Thank you! The coffee was a last minute plan as we were meeting up with old work colleagues! It's a relief to have the Argos card paid off, and it didn't occur any interest

I was looking at setting one up, but come September's pay I should be debt free and should be paying a nice bit into savings. I don't own a car, I don't own my own home (so if anything goes wrong we don't have to pay), I don't have any children to look after, therefore, I don't see it as a massive need at the moment.0 -
Me and my OH went shopping today. We got two weeks worth of breakfast, lunch, dinners and snacks, which came in at a grand total of £71.82
we've set ourselves a budget of £75 every two weeks with me contributing £70 and him £80 a month (he has expensive food tastes and earns more than me so is happy to throw in the extra £10 a month) The only thing we should need to pick up in Aldi next Friday is bananas
I also got all my money out for my designated envelopes. I did spend £12.75 on birthday gifts but this came out my gift fund. I got £7.25 change, however, £1 was a new one so that went into the pot! I only got £20 out the gift fund as the other £30 is for my nephew but I need to buy his presents online0 -
Well done on getting your shopping under budget. Your prob best just waiting til Sep then since your unlike to have a huge emergency fund built up by then anyway.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Thank you. There were a few things we didn't need to buy (cereal, ham) but we have to buy the lactofree milk and cheese (which is more expensive as my OH has an intolerance)
Yes, I just need to figure out the best way to save, where to save and how many savings pots to have! We are saving up to get married but would ideally like an emergency fund - should I keep the two things separate??0 -
I would keep the 2 separate or else you'll feel like your dipping into your wedding money if you do need it and that will be heartbreaking.DEC GC £463.67/£450

That was my thinking.. I will sleep on it!0
