internet connections best options

we have a pc with no wifi

whats the best option

we have a pci slot
power line
wifi dongle
or wifi extender then ethernet

we have sky internet which isnt the best but looking to upgrade to fibre in the next month or so

pc will not be in same room as router, router is downstairs computer is upstairs

My laptop has wifi, but I still choose to use PowerLine adaptors. They essentially allow you to connect directly to the router via ethernet - using the existing wiring of your house. very easy to set up and works a charm - much faster speeds than with wifi. I think that's the best option from the choices you gave

^^^ and you can get directly into the router for admin purposes such as controlling the wireless bits should you have any other devices using WiFi....and....and.....
