Should a late payment then credited back affect your credit history?

Hello everyone,
Quick question - in October 2015 I missed a payment to my Halifax CC. Oversight by me when you get down to the details.
I spoke with Halifax, told them the reason why and the next month they credited me back the late payment charge of £12.
On my credit report, I am down as making a late payment for the month in October which is technically correct. Would you expect this to stay on your report as a late payment or would you expect the credit report to be amended to say payment made on time if they accepted my reason and refunded me the charge?
Thanks

Yes because it's factually correct. Halifax made a goodwill gesture and refunded the charges doesn't alter the fact you made a payment late.0
