Incorrect carpet sent

Anyone help?
Ordered a carpet from a online carpet shop, it's a leading brand name shop, had the carpet fitted then realised they sent the incorrect colour carpet, the colour different is a few shades so wasn't noticed until fitted but the colour I was sent is a total different carpet-colour not just a difference in dying shading, a I've emailed them and been told it was my job to check the correct carpet was sent and fitted and that because it was bought online there is little they will do.
Anyone know what my rights are here, as I want the correct carpet I ordered, One that matches the same carpet I have in the rest of the house.

How did you fit it without noticing?
Sounds like it'll be awkward to return it in it's original condition.0 -
I've added to my post but they sent two different coloured carpet and the same timeand didn't notice so I think it's a bit off them telling me it is my fault.0

I think it is your fault. You should have checked before it was laid not after.
How do you propose returning it in the same condition as it was deliverd0
