Hi
Has anyone on here ever dealt with Ival insurance?
I have made a claim with Barclays, they put me on to thses guys to deal with electronic goods. Not sure if i have done something wrong or they are trying to get of paying out. We had a flood bathroom related unfortunately I have all my AV equipment on the floor below the bathroom. I sent ival a list of all equipment damaged I had it looked at by professionals but then ival insistes there own team take a look at it, fair enough you looking at 3-4 k of equipment, after 5 weeks of chasing them they finally decided the equipment was beyond repair and setteled, well at least I thought so. They said they will replace all items except 1 which they will have to pay in cash, the money was paid to me. The next day they called me to say they are not going to replace the rest of the items and the only settlement i would get was the £300 they paid me. They said there was discrepancy in the claim, bare in mind they have all of the equipment in question. Not sure how this works but i agreed to settle they even told me the part numbers and colour of equipment i would like. Has anyone else dealt with these cowboys??? I have since rejected the settlement and sending the money back. Anyone know what I can do next. HELP

No point refunding the money they already sent
First ask them why they are rejecting your claim, (in writing), then take it from their answer.
If you are unhappy raise a complaint that they are being unfair over your claim, state why and allow them 8 weeks to reply.
If you are unhappy with the reply or they ignore you then you can escalate the complaint to the FOS for their adjudication at no cost to you0
