Microsoft Edge not connecting?

I'm running Windows 10 and usually click on Microsoft Edge to connect to the internet, for some inexplicable reason when I click on the 'icon' it takes me to a 'blank page' saying refresh, but when I try this nothing happens.
I think it is trying to take me to Bing?
Any advice appreciated, thank you.

Thanks for the reply, perhaps I haven't explained properly, I use Microsoft Edge as my 'browser' and I believe it takes me to MSN main news page? but now if I click on the 'Microsoft Edge' icon it takes me to a blank page?
I don't have an issue with finding websites just annoyed this has suddenly happened for no apparent reason?

Check what your home page is supposed to be in the settings in case it has been altered
