E.On smart meter resulted in some light flicker

Hi, we had E.On upgrade our mains device, and install a smart meter.
We now notice that the kitchen light flickers, this didnt happen before.
Its not a slight flicker, and not frequent, but every time it is on the light does a noticeable flicker.
Any thoughts on what causes this? have they damaged something whilst installing the new mains device? or not properly connected the wires somewhere?

Occam's Razor. It is tempting to think that the two things might be linked but it is more likely that a bulb needs changing.

A flickering light may perhaps be a cause of an incorrectly terminated cable, but at the point where the cables are terminated, it would effect all lighting in the house.

I am guessing you've decided to ask here after watching watchdog, rather than just googling the issue.

As you appear to be genuinely concerned by your flickering lights, why did you not contact E.on themselves, the E.on MSE representative will only come along and ask you to email them.

Have to say t3rm3y, I've not come across this before. As MeterMan says, if you believe the flickering light is down to something our technician did when installing your smart meter, then please talk to us. We've specialist teams who look after all things smart and these are the best advisors to talk to about this. Contact details are on our website and in the paperwork the technician left.

Hope this points you in the right direction t3rm3y.

Spot on MeterMan. Best to talk to our smart meter advisors about things like this.

didnt see watchdog, dont watch much tv.
Asked here in case it was a simple fix or known issue.
Problem is the kitchen has 2 x light mounts each with 5x led bulbs - one of the light mounts flickers the other doesnt, i dont know which bulb it may be. Could try ringing e.on but cant see how they are going to do much - like meterman says if its at the termination end it would surely effect all lights?
