Hi all,
I have a HipStreet Electron 8" LCD Tablet 8GB Quad Core Android Lollipop Bluetooth and the screen is not responding as its cracked, how can I do a factory reset?
The options here
http://www.hardreset.info/devices/hipstreet/hipstreet-phoenix/
dont work as the screen needs to respond. Can I remove the screen and do it that way?
thanks all in advance!

No amount of factory resetting is going to mend a cracked screen I'm afraid.0

I suspect the OP wants to wipe personal data before putting it in for repair. We do see some dumb-!!! questions I must admit but surely not as dumb-!!! as you imply.0

Yes, I should have thought of that. :embarasse
But as it's under £50 new, I wouldn't have thought it was economical to pay for a repair?
The OP didn't mention trying to connect to a PC to get their data off.
But I guess that would leave some of the apps logged in to their services.
However if it will connect to the PC (may not), then you should be able to reset it using ADB tools.

Unless USB debugging was turned on and/or there is no pin/pattern set up I think there isn't much chance of getting at the thing using a PC.
The reset menu along with using the volume rocker to navigate and power button to select is familiar from other Android devices I've owned but I see mention of tapping for YES and I'm guessing that is why the OP can't proceed. I'd be trying to select it and press the power button but I'm guessing that has already been tried,0
