Why is my spellcheck not working?

It has done in the past, I can't remember when it stopped..
I am using Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
If I go into the Chrome menu
Languages, > spell check, > English (United Kingdom) > the blue switch beside this is activated (dot to the right and highlighted)

I've also tried turning off 'use a web service to help resolve spelling errors' under privacy and security, and logging into Chrome, it makers no difference.0
