It'll be some combination of your location, your vehicle and your driving record. If all insurers are coming up with high premiums then the only ways to reduce them are to increase your excess, increase your NCD over time, move house, or get a lower group vehicle.0

Im 31, I've had license 8 years, its clean, i got pass plus, no accidents ever, location is ok as my peugeot 206 was only 21 quid a month, no convictions or offences. I've heard of the CUE database, maybe its worth seeing if there is anything on there that's' affecting me. I now have a Peugeot 308 as I needed a slightly bigger car and I pay £50 a month0

I wouldn't suspect that I was on a blacklist unless I had done something in the past that could put me on a blacklistEx forum ambassador

the fact your paying monthly means your already paying more than those with annual policies
In the last 5 years , any accidents regardless of fault?
Have you been declined insurance ever? Any insurance fraud in past???"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

can we get an idea about type of car?
If you drive a Bentley etc it maybe higher than my Honda
age?
if you work on a bar?
no claims?0 -
The fact changing the car made the premium increase means its likely to be the car more than anything else.
Check the interest on paying monthly, you may find its between 19% and 39% extra.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

you can compare the insurance groups of the cars here http://www.parkers.co.uk/car-insurance/insurance-groups/
308 will be in a higher group than a 2060
