How much would you roughly be expecting to pay for the following work?

My dining room needs splitting in two by a stud wall being built, a door adding to it and a toilet, basin and radiator installed in the new 2m by 2m room.
The soil stack and pipes are accessable in the same room as the bathrom is above.
The suspened wooden ceiling needs removing back to the normal ceiling, Wallpaper in it needs stripping too.
Maybe a new lino floor.
Skirting and new pipework boxing in.
The new stud wall will need plastering.
I added up all materials and it comes to 600 to 700 pounds.
How much do you think I should expect to pay to have all this done all in? I'm in the NW.
Probably 6 to 8 days work for one man.

get 2 or 3 quotes and then come back on with prices0 -
Already have a few but they vary wildly. Im just wanting to know what people would expect to pay for this type of work as a general ballpark figure, or if anyone had something done similar and what price they paid.0

Probably about £180 a day for someone who's going to do a decent job.0
-
Yeah i was thinking 180 is reasonable0

Are you really going to have a toilet immediately off your dining room? It may be legal, and it may be what you want now - but you'll have problems if/when you come to sell.0

I don't know...it would suit those with particularly fast metabolism.Silvertabby wrote: »Are you really going to have a toilet immediately off your dining room? It may be legal, and it may be what you want now - but you'll have problems if/when you come to sell.0 -
Broken pelvis, struggle with stairs atm and itll no longer be a dining room.0

what part of the Country are you because you will do very well to get someone for £180 per day.
I am in Nottingham and the majority of guys we know are a minimum of £220 a day0 -

I'm in Hampshire and was paying £180 to £200 this time last year depending on trade. The OP is in the NW and I assumed it wouldn't be more expensive.0 -
So I have a quote of £890.51 materials and 6 days labour or 59 hours at £1121. Total of £2011.51.
Whole new room skimming too, excluding ceiling. Decent Armatage Shanks basin and toilet included too.
Any good?0
