anyone else lost freeview channels

rescanned the freeview boxes and have lost FTN and FILMFOUR + 1. has anyone else experienced this?

Have you tried re-rescanning? Ours ALWAYS pick up the wrong transmitters first time round. (You can see by the lack of signal level on BBC1 etc.) Setting off the process a second time normally does the trick (has also worked when a rescan has not picked-up all channels).

Having said that, I haven't re-scanned this week to pick-up the new Radio 1/2/3/4 channels, so there may be other issues at work!

cheer ed jogg.. that was when i noticed the loss when rescanning for the new radio channels. ive rescanned a few times so maybe theyve just gone now for everyone.

I'm having terrible trouble lately with Freeview to such an extent that it is now completely switched off. If it's on then it gives a little 'swiff' sound and then the picture is completely jagged. I have scanned and rescanned and rescanned to no avail.

Do I just need a new Freeview box?

Now for a more instructive reply...having just done a rescan...

'FTN' was on Channel 20, and this is now 'Virgin1'
'Film4+1' was on Channel 32, and this is now 'Film4'

Also note that Radio 1/2/3/4 are on a new multiplex, and hence if you haven't retuned you will find that 700/702/703/704 are rather quiet now!

Virgin took over the FTN channel and Channel 4 decided that having a Channel 4+1 channel was better than a Film4+1 channel

So you aren't going to get them back

I re-scanned the channels so that FTN was noted as Virgin and have lost 10 channels, I can do without some but cant get five, fivelife or fiveus, wont be able to watch dirt
