Ticket paid for but not displayed correctly

Hi, I have looked through newbies post and searched for similar threads but cannot find anything.
Please smack my hands and point me in the right direction if something is out there.

However if not. Bought ticket in APCOA council car park (does this make a difference - council?) but must have blown upside down when I shut door. It has a code on the back so if they have photo can prove I have that same valid ticket. I thought about GPEOL but newbies thread says no?

I am 7 days in, advice seems to be that I wait for NTK and then we have some fun. Is this correct. I do have another empty address that I can direct unwanted mail to, so could the driver live there?

Also there are 2 people at our correct address with the same name, that could be fun too? X Smith is the keeper and X smith was the driver but which X smith lol. But I digress, am I doing the correct thing by waiting for NTK. thanks guys for spending your spare time sorting us goons out that can't even put a piece of paper on the dash the right way up. Cheers

Bought ticket in APCOA council car park (does this make a difference - council?)

Huge difference, is this is a PENALTY Charge Notice with the 'enforcement authority' showing as the Council. If so, this isn't a private parking ticket despite APCOA's invovement (I am aware they act as agents for a few hapless Councils).

You need to appeal it now, to the address on the PCN. Forget the NEWBIES thread for this one.

Show them your ticket (attached), write about what happened (yep, really) and tell them that you do not believe that the Parking Places Order includes any requirement to 'continuously display' a parking ticket after leaving the car, only when actually parking. As such, this is not a case they can win at adjudication as there has been no breach of any Order. Please cancel it, I've never done anything like this before, sorry sorry, have mercy, etc.

...see how that is completely different from a private one?! Not the same animal. If that first appeal doesn't get it cancelled (and not many are, at first try) you can only appeal further if you are the owner, and would have to wait for the NTO.

And you would be best then posting on pepipoo Council PCN forum:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

The experts on Council tickets hang out there, and they have over 90% win rate. Do not post without photos of BOTH SIDES of the PCN, all small print (yes on the back as well) and you can't use a Hotmail email on there.

Apart from that, go for it, this is a leap of faith, but risk free except that the discount bribe disappears at the later stages so it's a case of paying he full charge, or nothing. Usually = nothing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Cheers mate, their online form goes through to APCOA so probably not much chance. But we will try. I assume I can get a copy of the PPO from the council.

    Thanks again.
  • One other thing I could try is that the issue code on the back of the ticket is visable upside down, therefore the warden could have checked with the machine to see when it was issued?????

Wait, APCOA only handle the first stage - you need to know these ARE won later. The Council deals with NTO stage and adjudication stage, and that's where people win. But still appeal as explained about, no worries about saying you were driving because with these, the OWNER is liable.

And yes you can get a copy of the PPO or even possibly find it now on their website. It's a public document and you are entitled to see it without delay (but don't ask 'under FOI'!).

Yes you can add that, say it like it is in Council appeals at first stage; sometimes they are cancelled.

    I'm a female 'mate' BTW!
