We bought some on our last house sale after our FTB got scared at the report that the removal of the chimney breast didn't meet modern BR's (had been done by the last but one occupier that is IIRC)

His demand was insurance or he wanted money off/might walk. To stop the deal collapsing, I sorted some via a Google and did it all online. Cost about £75 and took about half an hour to fill in forms plus another 2 hours for my application to be processed and confirmed. Sent the email I then recieved to my solicitor/EA. Job jobbed, Mr Panicky calmed down and the purchase went through.

I would do it yourself - it's probably cheaper than going through your solicitor or EA to source it and doesn't take much time at all. If I can remember who we used I'll post it up on here.
