Help please from experienced buyers!

Hi,

Today we have had our offer on a house accepted :T (10k under asking price btw).:j

We recently sold our house to an experienced buyer and it took just under a month from us accepting the offer to us getting the money.
What did he know that got things moving so fast? Is there anything that we can do to speed things along?

Any help really appreciated as we would really like to be in by Christmas! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet...

Ensure that the vendor instructs his solr to issue draft contracts ASAP. It should take his solr no more than a day to get these out. This could help both your surveyor and your solr identify any problem areas early on.

What is your vendors position ? If they don't have a chain above them, then getting in by Christmas is entirely feasible.

PS Well done on getting the house for £10k below the asking !!

Explain to your sol. that you want this done in 4 weeks. Develop a good relationship with the secretary that is going to be working on your purchase because its the secretary that does the vast majority of the legwork and they who will chase things through for you.
