Sky Tv and Fibre broadband billing issue

Please can anyone help me.

I noticed my sky tv and line rental has gone up a lot this month so I asked why this is, apparently my 12 month deals are up ok great what else can you offer me.... Well nothing you signed up to 18 months of TV in March 2017 no i just had fibre... no you signed a new tv contract. Now I assumed the line rental would restart with the fibre broadband, how silly of me to think this was how it works.

I dont believe I did sign up to 18 months of TV I and I have no email correspondence to say I have, I only have an email for my broadband, I have had sky TV for 8 years so haven't been in a contract for a long time.

I asked about cancellation and it is £190 for the TV but i can cancel the broadband for free... even though i only signed up in March?!

Am i being a complete drip or is there something not quite right?

Have you upgraded the set top box to Sky Q ? or have they supplied any new TV equipment , perhaps because your original box went faulty ?
I always thought, apart from the initial supply of equipment and installation you could cancel or downgrade all or parts of the TV package with 1 months notice,
If they recon you recommitted only 3 months ago,you could ask them what inducement they give you for this new 18 month deal ?, because why would anyone give a commitment like that for 'free', presumably they should be able to tell you what they 'gave' you in return

You jumped from talking about the TV package to line rental, which is it?

Thank you for your reply. No I have a normal sky plus hd box i did get a replacement (reconditioned from sky) 2 years ago which i paid for.

The guy said my bill has increased because my offers for the last 12 months have expired, but 3 months ago they have locked me in an 18 month contract i feel like they have been abit crafty here.

I always thought the line rental and broadband ran side by side??

The only thing I can think of is prehaps when I signed up for fibre broadband they said I could only get the deal if signed up for tv for 18 months, so that was the incentive I get a good broadband deal. But do they not have regulations where they have to be clear on these things?

I will call them later when I get home but I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else or if someone could give me some advise as to how I can tackle this, I feel bloody awful I'm normally so on the ball with these things and don't get caught out.

Sorry I was really cross when I posted please forgive my ramblings.

The tv package and the line rental have both gone up as the latest deals have expired which I obviously missed, but ive been paying tv, line and bb for 3 months at a lower price and I'm now stuck paying 15 months at the higher price.

I feel like I don't fully understand, but this seems a bit unfair and was not made clear to me at the time.
