External cracks in brickwork

    just another point, if you look at the bricks on edge above the window and the door, they all seem to lean to the right.

    we had our house build on clay. the foundation mouldings were done on top of the clay, rather than dig the clay channels out and pour. If we digged out and poured the foundation we were told that the foundation would crack to expansion and contraction of the clay especially as that country had seasonal rain fall.

    Our other options were no foundation and build on a thick reinforced concrete slab (more expensive), or piles (much more expensive). Much of london is built on clay, and only the bridge fell down:)

    looking at the fence, see that the plot is elevated, is not sliding and they did level the ground?
