Hi, looking for a new PC but can manage with old monitor to save cost. Which would be the best tower from these two. Inspiron 531DT(D10515B) £172.74 with no monitor or Inspiron 530 DT(D10505B) £152.74 with no monitor. (apologies as I am having problems doing links tonight) Thanks.

If it were me, i'd go for the D10505B but nudge the processor up to the "Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2140 Processor"bringing the total to £182.11.
But hey, I'm an intel fanboy so you may want to ignore me. I'd say the choice between the two you have there is difficult and imagine there is very little difference.
Also, grr at the fact it won't let you take the mouse off or change the OS to XP. Decent price though.0 -
If you want a more custom spec, give them a ring, I've always managed to order towers with no monitor and a few different changes with little problem from Dell.0

Thanks. Next question. Is this the cheapest price I'll find for similar spec.0

Without a mis-price or a very special offer I doubt you'd beat it, and it would be the matter of only a few pounds, there really can't be that much margin in it for them in those deals. Obviously there is but only a company of dell's size could achieve one.
I like to be able to show people how much cheaper and better it is to build but with that price limit no way can I get anywhere near that facturing in the fact it comes with a Vista license.0
