Now TV service a disgrace

I've been paying for Now TV sports passes for years, and stream the content through a standard Now TV black box into my TV.
All worked well until a few months ago, when I started noticing short screen freezing, between 1-2 seconds, although the sound continues normally.
At first I thought I needed a new box, but then noticed it was also happening when streaming the content to my laptop.
The problem only occurs when streaming live TV channels.
I looked on the Now TV forum and saw a thread with a lot of customers complaining about the same issue (all using different devices, broadband etc).
Since then I've contacted Now TV customer service, followed their technical guides and suggestions, but all to no avail.
I've found the technical staff follow a script, and if the problem does not fit into their general solutions, then no real help is offered.
I sent a formal letter of complaint, via e-mail, but the only reply I've had is more self-help technical guides about buffering, even though I've made it clear it is not buffering. I've also supplied them with the link to their own forum.
I have no idea what to do now, and it seems I'm going round in circles.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can you stream from other sources ??

Is your connection over WiFi ??

Have you tried resetting your Router and or check Ethernet and other cables .
  • I'm not saying trying it for a long time because will eat up a lot of your data but have you tried downloading the Now Tv app onto your phone and seeing how it goes on there, that would rule out if it's an issue with your home broadband.

Any streaming issues I have with Now TV is always down to my own router issues. I find customer service superb.

You're always going to have people complaining of the 'same' issue on their forums, it's not always helpful tbh.

You say you've done all of the technical stuff regarding a fix without actually saying what that was so for starters I'd turn your router off at the wall for a couple of minutes and the back on, it'll take a couple of minutes to boot back up. Once it is up try a speed test http://beta.speedtest.net/

If it isn't what you'd expect then unscrew the cover on the master BT socket and plug the router into the test socket directly without any filters on the line. If that shows an improvement hen it's your internal wiring or filters (they should be replaced periodically).

If using WiFi try moving the router or laptop to a different location.
