I need a small domestic fire extinguisher. Any recommendations?

Depends what you want it for. But in general, a small powder extinguisher is the best compromise for domestic situations - something along these lines :

Alternatively, a fire blanket is good for chip pan fires ( as is a damp tea towel ).
There is an argument that says if a fire breaks out, most people will panic and not be able to use the equipment effectively - much safer to get out and dial 999. But if the fire is very small, and you can keep calm, then a small powder extinguisher plus a blanket will cover most things that you're likely to encounter in a typical domestic situation.0 -
Water mist is good at all fire types, we were told on my last fire course it has even been fitted in computer rooms.0
