Faulty Bar Stool

Hello...I am hoping someone can confirm what I suspect with the following scenario. I bought 4 bar stools for our new kitchen breakfast bar in September 2016 online from Debenhams. They were individually priced (i.e not a set) but we bought 4 matching ones. One has developed a wobble and when I looked at it 2 of the welds underneath the base have split. As the stools are under a year old I looked online and they are not available anymore (we would have liked to exchange the broken one, simply because we liked them). There are very similar ones available but they are not quite the same (different name and different shaped foot-rests). Am I right in thinking that as I cannot get an exact match for the broken single stool that I can ask for all four stools to be replaced/exchanged or money back even though the other 3 individually priced stools are ok ?? Hopefully an easy one for an expert out there.

You can ask but you've no rights to exchange or refund on the other three. It's all down to goodwill.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I can think of a way round that.

If Debenhams only offer to refund one stool, why not pop into your local car repair place and ask if they have a welder who would be willing to reweld the broken item?

If you know the exact model name or number, you might be able to find the name of the manufacturer and give them a call to see if they have any available anywhere.

Can't you just get it re-welded?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
