    Ha ha. I was just using it as an example, ground floor is the car park, 1st floor is the store.

    It's evidently causing you hassle and some stress so I certainly wouldn't renew and given the issues with the building, I wouldn't be looking at flats in the same block.

    I'm considering moving, however it is just not fair.
    I've received confirmation that landlord of aht eapartment above does intend to take action, she will just leave it as it is.
    The property manager sent me an email saying that the lease agreement states "any flooring must guarantee that no noise transmission can occur to the dwelling below", it is a breach of lease, but until solicitors are involved, they won't bother. Hence I've asked whether it is worth to take legal action as I'm literally being forced to leave, the place is now inhabitable.
