Sorry, but I have to say that predicating a house purchase on the basis of a cat is bizarre.

    Just me obviously.

I just don't want to live right on an A road where people are driving to nearly 50mph everyday.

I think I will be avoiding this house. All issues aside, for me I just find the street a bit too unattractive with the terraced houses at one end and then loads of big new build flats at the other, it looks a bit of a mess. There is also some green waste land next to the terraced houses with planning applications going in to develop it into flats. As has already been stated, the carparking is also problematic.

    The search goes on...

I know you do. No doubt you will be right one day. You've been saying it for three years, at least, and been consistently wrong. Anyone who had listened to you and not bought three years ago would have made a mistake. Are you really going to try and say "See, I was right!" when they drop for a couple of years some time in the future?

So someone who stretched three years ago to "buy" at the lowest interest rates on record will be A OK in the event of a price correction/crash/interest rate rise? Really? Probably depends where they bought, many in London will be financial toast.
