My partner has been divorced for 2 years and her ex lives in the family home, the house is up for sale but only 3 people have been to view and he showed them round !!!
What happens if the house does not sell, all our money is tied up in the house , we are renting until it gets sold.

Nothing happens, the house stays on the market....
Your partners money is in the house & if & when it sells they will get their share after relevant deductions.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -
This could take 10 years though, surely the courts must take this into account0

can we put it on at auction and set a reserve, that would force him to tidy it up !!0

Why have you got money invested in the house?0 -

I don't understand this either. Surely it's the girlfriends money unless the OP actively invested in his girlfriend and her husband's house. Something here isn't ringing true especially as they seem to have been together such a short time.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -

Nothing happens unless she makes it happen...
In the meantime: it is her house, so she has every right to go back and live there, together with her new partner (you). That situation might encourage the ex to tidy up and attempt to get a sale.
A less drastic solution: you give her whatever money you have (and any mortgage you could get with your sole salary), enabling her to buy out the ex.0 -
You have no idea how long we have been together so do not put 4+4 and make 9 please0

It's nothing to do with how long you've been together - you have no influence over the situation, only your partner and their ex can resolve this.0
