How to revert to previous Yahoo email?

I foolishly switched to the new version of Yahoo email and I really hate the interface. Searching for how to revert to the previous version has got me nowhere: they all refer to an option to revert to the basic version being found under "view email" in "settings", and that option is definitely not offered on the version I've lumbered myself with

Any ideas please folks?

Thankyou! I'd forgotten all about Thunderbird, which I used to use ages ago. So I got all excited, downloaded TB, and did the setup routine for existing email account.

But alas, TB keeps telling me that my Yahoo password is wrong. It isn't, though, as checked by logging out of Yahoo and then back in by entering username and password.

I've tried configuring TB manually but it still reckons the password's wrong - however many times either of us here enters it.

A pox on Yahoo and their newfangled email ...

That's what I would do if I was still on the same version you're on. Unfortunately I'm not, I'm on the latest version. The one you're using is the one I want to go back to.

I seem to recall in the distant past the way to revert is to make your display settings to the basic level, like if you were in safe mode, log into your Yahoo account and then an option should be there to revert. That's how I did it many moons ago.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

You can try this but I think this may be for the previous "new look", not the one that's being rolled out...

Try in full screen mode so the full settings drop down box and the switch back option is visible

Neil - thanks but that is indeed for the previous version.

Hans 2 - thanks but there is neither a full screen option nor a switch back option on this latest version.

I've given up with it and with Yahoo. Gmail here we come ...

    For full screen

Press F11. You may have to push and hold the FN key at the same time, depending on your laptop model.
