African safari, Gorillas and beach

We've been to South Africa by Cape Town staying in the Vineyard Hotel by Table Mountain and that was pretty amazing. https://www.vineyard.co.za
From there you can go on safari and also see penguins on the beach, up Table Mountain etc very beautiful. Don't need malaria tablets there. The safari wasn't as wild as some but was fine for us and we saw all the animals.
I'm not sure about combining it with other places, there's so much to do there and the wine route etc. Depends how long they've got. Cape Town certainly used to be a lot safer than other parts of SA though we still stuck to organised tours to start with though hired a car at the end. I loved the penguins best.0 -
Tell them to have a look at Somak Travel. Although a UK company I know they have an office in the US. Their website will give lots of ideas but they are happy to tailor make a holiday to fit in whatever they want. Price wise they are somewhere in the middle, the whole business is still run by the family that set it up nearly 50 years ago and I always find they know the answers to my difficult questions0

I did once look into a Rwanda trip to see the silverbacks but my friends pulled out so nothing came of it so I can't offer much in the way of advice in that respect. I had previously thoroughly enjoy a week of safaris in the northern circuit on Tanzania which I followed with a week in Zanzibar.
For me it would make more sense to stick to countries fairly close together so Rwanda/Tanzania would be preferably to something like SA/Rwanda/Seychelles but each to their own.0 -
I'd second Kenya. I met my Kenyan wife in Mombasa. We stayed at a hotel on North Coast with an all-inclusive deal, flights, meals, drinks all-in. Uganda isn't that far away either. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
